Hidden Goddesses: Unseen Paintings by Giorgio Preca

National Museum of Archaeology · Valletta, Malta · 10 Jul to 4 Oct 2026

This exhibition has closed

It closed on 4 October 2026. The page stays because an exhibition history is evidence: where a work was shown, and when, is part of its provenance and this archive cites it.

Visiting National Museum of Archaeology

31 previously unseen paintings by Maltese artist Giorgio Preca, centred on the prehistoric Sleeping Lady figure and Malta's goddess imagery, released by the artist's family for the first time. On view at the Auberge de Provence. Follows a 2021 Preca show at MUZA.
